Some photos of our adventures today. Everyone told me not to get so close, that the sheep looked mad but I got close and I'm glad I did.. Mostly portraits of kids and lambs.

Bonnie

It was such a beautiful day we went to coggshall farm with the baby & friends and to the park. Bonnie came over later and I began to do her makeup. I realised we had lost alot of light so we ran out and tried to get what we could. We went over to some flourescent lighting outside the building and I ended up liking the warming effect the portraits began to have. In some i felt she looked like a golden goddess. Bonnie was so photogenic it made my job easier.

85mm 1:8 lens at Botanical Gardens

We took a trip to the botanical gardens at Roger Williams park zoo it was beautiful and warm in there. I especially loved the carnivorous plants. Isabella was my subject to check out my new 85mm 1:8 lens. I love the lens and I love how the photos of my beautiful daughter came out. Not to toot my own horn but she is a great subject.
Please enjoy

I had a great interview today with the lovely ladies of SnapRI photography. They were amazing and made me feel right at home. Even if I don't get the job it was a great interview experience. Kudos to them. I left feeling inspired an uplifted as they were mothers accomplishing what I want to eventually do, which is to start my own business and make money doing what I love. I decided to go out and shoot today which is something i haven't done in a while. What started out as a shoot for the warren town guide cover competition ended in some more overly psychological portraits. In the end I liked what I produced but only as personal work.

what im doing
I'm basically trying to find a way to support my family using the talents I have been given. I'm trying to find a way to make it in this awful economy and still do the things that I love. I bought some new lenses, lighting equipment and am possibly buying a large format printer. OK so here is what I can do. I take photos, I'm a makeup artist, I sew, knit, make jewelry, make home made books. I'm good at decorating and planning parties and events. I need to make a business plan.
